The Peruvian territory is divided into three regions: coast, mountains, and jungle. Unfortunately, and for many reasons, this territorial division has been taken negatively, even in a racist manner. The title of this piece is inspired by the incredible waltz by Augusto Polo Campos, masterfully performed by Arturo “Zambo” Cavero, and with Don Oscar Avilés on the guitar. A song that became known in the 70s and is considered by many to be the second anthem of Perú. The phrase “… together the coast, the mountains, the jungle” was an invitation to overcome differences, but unfortunately, that union is not something we see in reality.
